Frequency Units are called Hertz (Hz) and represent the number of complete cycles of an  electromagnetic wave in one second.  This used to be simply called cycles per second.

High frequencies are often prefixed by; Kilo, Mega, Giga, Tera, ie:

= 1000Hz
= 1000000Hz
= 1000000000Hz
= 1000000000000Hz
